The Story of the Bible

The Bible may seem confusing and foreign, but it becomes much easier to understand when you see that it tells a story—a big story that overarches all the little stories there are. The Bible begins with Creation, God’s work of making the universe and mankind. It continues, sadly, with the Fall, man and woman’s rebellion against their creator. But it climaxes with Jesus Christ, who brings Redemption to the world.

Five Mile Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making and maturing disciples of Jesus Christ from all people groups, through the preaching, teaching, and sharing of God’s Word, through the power of the Spirit, and under the authority of the local church, all within the context of God’s sovereignty, and with the goal of establishing reproducing churches everywhere.
